We firmly believe that PSHE should be recognised as a core curriculum subject, such is the importance it has within the curriculum. It is part of our Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) offer and links with our work on our values and the other cornerstones of growth mindset and healthy living.
We use the PSHE Association resources and The Medway Council Project as it is comprehensive scheme, and it ensures all statutory learning around Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), Mental Wellbeing, Caring Friendships, Respectful Relationships, Being Safe, Physical Health and Fitness, Healthy Eating, Health and Prevention, Basic First Aid, Internet Safety and Drug and Alcohol awareness. The PSHE Association Quality Assures resources to ensure that materials they recommend meet best practice principles to deliver high quality learning.
We also look at social and emotional aspects of learning and big questions which are discussed in regular circle time sessions.
Our PSHE lead is Sharon. Please speak to her if you require further information.
