At Grasmere, we understand that in order to learn well, children need to be happy, safe, valued and engaged at school. We have an inclusive approach to ensure every child is supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

We have a dedicated and highly skilled staff team with excellent pedagogy, who are commited to the progress, attainment and enjoyment of every child that comes into the school.  Attainment at Grasmere is among the highest in the Borough and we have exceptionally high expectations of children’s learning and behaviour. Key to our success is our close working relationships with parents, carers and the wider community.

We believe in giving children enriching opportunities through our curriculum with humanities creative arts, music and physical education enjoying a high profile alongside the core subjects of reading, writing, maths and science, enthusing children in all they do. As well as achieving in curriculum areas, we are keen to promote our core values of Kindness, Creativity, Bravery and Respect. We feel these are vital and ensure all round development to enable our children grow in confidence, pride and a love of learning. This is why at Grasmere Primary School we have the motto of Growing Minds, Promoting Success.
