Year 6 Kench Hill visit
Thursday 10th October
Day 4 at Kench Hill. We spent most of today at the wonderful Rare Breeds Centre, where we interact with various animals, got involved in pig racing, watched a bird of prey show and explored the huge adventure playgrounds. Rounded off the day celebrating two birthdays, with cake, brownies by the campfire and a final evening disco.
Wednesday 9th October
Our third day at Kench Hill has seen us shelter build, treasure hunt in the vast grounds and visit the glorious Camber Sands, even if the sun wasn’t shining! This evening, we have played football and netball and have settled in for a movie night.
Tuesday 8th October
On our second day, Year 6 have spent our time almost entirely outdoors. We have harvested fruit and vegetables from the gardens to eat later, baked individual homemade bread and practiced our archery skills (for the first time for the most part!). We are rounding off this evening with a night walk and some free time outside.
Monday 7th October
Year 6 had a very smooth journey to Kench Hill, arriving safe and sound. Ate homemade pizza for lunch before setting off on our 3-hour river walk with Barney, followed by dinner and postcard writing. Finishing the evening with a film before a much needed early night!
