Parent Governor Elections

Dear Parents and Carers,

This half term Grasmere Primary School will be holding elections for 1 post as Parent/ Carer Governor. The role is for a fixed 4 year period. The school’s Governing Body are looking for an individual with the skills, personal attributes, knowledge, experience and enthusiasm which will complement and benefit the school.

Governors are involved in Governing Body meetings, being part of committees including Finance, Curriculum or Resources and each have a link role to aspects of the curriculum or school priorities. Governors play an important role focussing upon monitoring and improving outcomes for pupils and the strategic development of the school.

A comprehensive programme of training also helps governors develop skills and understanding of their role.

If you are interested, please let the office know by Friday 26th January and if you want to find out more about the role do not hesitate to speak with Martha Hannan, Chair of Governors or myself. There will be another letter going out to interested parties after 26th January with application details.
